On March 29, Ilia Kostov, who represents Azerbaijan in alpine skiing competitions organized by the International Ski Federation (FIS), participated in the GB Alpine Championships.
In the competition, held in the ski resort of Tignes, in France our athlete took first place among 18-year-olds in alpine skiing. The second place was taken by the French athlete Dylan Hajquard, the third place was taken by the Hungarian Attila Banyal.
Overall, our representative Ilia Kostov was ranked 3rd. 30 participants from France, Hungary, Italy, USA, Australia and Canada competed in the championship.
It should be noted that 17-year-old athlete represents Azerbaijan in alpine skiing competitions from 2021.
