On March 23, our athlete Ekaterina Ryabova, who represents Azerbaijan at the international figure skating competitions, performed short program at the World Figure Skating Championships in Montpellier, France.

On March 11, President of the Winter Sports Federation Fuad Nagiyev met with our athletes Ekaterina Ryabova and Vladimir Litvintsev, who represent Azerbaijan at international figure skating competitions.

Our athlete Mehman Ramazanzadeh, who represented Azerbaijan at the XIII Winter Paralympic Games in Beijing, China, was unable to participate because of a serious injury at the last training session before the competition.

Azerbaijan's figure skating representative Vladimir Litvinsev made his performance in the men’s short program

The head of the mission of the Azerbaijani National Paralympic team Rauf Mursalov, a member of delegation Azer Tapdigov, and the head coach of the national winter sports team Mahammad Ismayilov took part in the parade.

Ilya Kostov, representative of Azerbaijan in alpine skiing, took part in the National Junior Race among young athletes aged 18-21 in Italy on February 22.

By the decision of the President of the National Paralympic Committee Mr. Ilgar Rahimov, Rauf Mursalov has been appointed as chef de mission of the national team of Azerbaijan, and our athlete Mehman Ramazanzadeh to be the flagbearer at the opening ceremony of “Beijing 2022” XIII Winter Paralympic Games.

Ekaterina Ryabova, who represented Azerbaijan in figure skating at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics on February 17, scored 118.15 points in the women’s free program.
